Actress Go Youn-jung has revealed her surprisingly introverted lifestyle, calling herself a true “homebody” who avoids even simple outdoor activities like walking. Her unexpected honesty has sparked laughter and admiration online.
Netizens reacted with humorous comments like, “An introvert in an extrovert’s face,” and “If you’re just going to keep that face at home, give it to me!”
On January 10, Go Youn-jung appeared alongside Kim Seon-ho as a guest on the YouTube channel Channel 15ya, promoting their upcoming Netflix drama Can This Love Be Translated?
During the show, Go Youn-jung, Kim Seon-ho, and PD Na Young-seok talked about the current trend of running. Kim Seon-ho proudly shared, “I can now run 5km in an hour,” noting his progress. Go Youn-jung added that her drama team also has a running group and that she joined them a few times. She confessed, “I ended up running just to beat my own record. It gave me a sense of accomplishment.”
She recalled her first run, saying, “I couldn’t think of anything else—it was so exhausting I thought I’d throw up. But breaking that record felt amazing.”

However, when asked by PD Na Young-seok what she does during her time off, Go Youn-jung gave an unexpected answer: “Nothing. I don’t even go for walks. I honestly don’t understand why people do that,” she said, laughing.
She clarified, “I’m not trying to criticize it, I just genuinely don’t understand the appeal. I don’t even walk around parks. I don’t know what I’m supposed to think about while walking.”
Go Youn-jung’s refreshingly candid and down-to-earth personality continues to win over fans. She stars in the upcoming rom-com Can This Love Be Translated?, written by hit screenwriters the Hong sisters (Hong Jung-eun, Hong Mi-ran), which premieres on Netflix on January 16.
