Actress Go Hyun-jung brought laughter to fans with a refreshingly candid “real friends talk,” sharing a humorous glimpse into her everyday life and friendships. On December 23, she unexpectedly met up with close friends toward the end of the year, enjoying a lively and nonstop chat together.
Go Hyun-jung jokingly recalled how her friends arrived empty-handed, saying things like, “Let’s look at some clothes, let’s look at some bags take whatever you want,” which made her burst into laughter. She also shared amusing snippets of their conversations, mentioning how her friends excitedly talked about watching Queen Mantis before the year ends, calling the whole exchange hilarious and heartwarming.
With her trademark cool humor, Go Hyun-jung teased her friends, saying they suddenly show up and talk endlessly about themselves about their kids and their husbands without “even one bit of consideration” for her situation. Still, she emphasized that these are the friends she feels most comfortable with, expressing gratitude and affection by calling them precious, easygoing, and enjoyable companions.

Go Hyun-jung married Chung Yong-jin, chairman of Shinsegae, in 1995, but the couple divorced by mutual agreement in 2003. Following her divorce, she successfully returned to the entertainment industry with the drama Spring Day and went on to build an impressive filmography, starring in popular works such as What’s Up Fox?, H.I.T, Queen Seondeok, Big Thing, The Queen’s Classroom, and Mask Girl.
Most recently, Go Hyun-jung delivered a powerful performance in SBS’s Friday–Saturday drama Queen Mantis, once again proving her enduring presence and versatility as one of Korea’s most respected actresses.
