“A girl group idol at her career stage…”
Red Velvet’s Irene has officially made another strong statement as a solo artist.

After debuting solo with record-breaking album sales back in 2024, her first studio album, Biggest Fan, has followed in those footsteps and taken off fast!
Within just one day, Biggest Fan recorded over 199,000 sales. That number didn’t just impress fans and netizens, but it made Irene the highest “first day” selling female idol in 2026.
The Red Velvet star has been working nonstop ever since Red Velvet last released “Cosmic” during their 10th anniversary celebrations. After her solo debut with “Like A Flower,” Irene brought back her popular sub-unit with fellow member Seulgi, and the two even took off on an Asia tour.
For many, the result came as a surprise, especially considering her long career in the industry. But if anything, fans say it proves her core fandom is still incredibly strong.

- “This is insane, wow.”
- “A girl group idol at her career stage selling 200k on the first day… that’s crazy.”
- “Her core fandom is no joke.”
- “Wow.”
- “That’s seriously impressive, especially as a soloist at this point in her career.”
Now, Irene is preparing for her own solo concert, I WILL, along with another Asia tour. With numbers like these, it’s clear her popularity is far from fading.
