K-pop icon G-Dragon is set to take the global stage with a solo performance at the welcome banquet for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, where leaders and top officials from 21 member nations will be in attendance.
The high-profile event will take place on the evening of October 31 at the Grand Ballroom of the Lahan Hotel in Gyeongju. G-Dragon will be the only K-pop artist performing at the prestigious gathering.

Appointed as the APEC summit’s promotional ambassador in July, G-Dragon has since contributed to the international visibility of the event. The promotional video featuring him has already surpassed 17 million views as of October 27. Despite a packed world tour schedule, he managed to film the campaign while traveling between the U.S. and South Korea.
The APEC Summit Organizing Committee expressed high expectations for his role, stating, “With his global influence, G-Dragon is the ideal figure to amplify APEC’s vision of connectivity and sustainability. We anticipate a remarkable performance from him at the welcome banquet.”

G-Dragon’s third world tour, “G-DRAGON 2025 WORLD TOUR [Übermensch],” is currently underway, with stops in Osaka on October 20–21, followed by upcoming shows in Taipei and Hanoi in November, as well as in Seoul this December.
With his upcoming APEC performance, G-Dragon continues to solidify his position as a global cultural ambassador, bridging diplomacy and pop culture through the universal language of music.
