On the 24th, Galaxy Corporation released an official statement announcing that it had initiated legal proceedings against those who posted defamatory and malicious content targeting the artist. The agency stated that the complaints were filed under South Korea’s Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, specifically citing defamation-related violations.
According to the company, the legal action was based on long-term monitoring efforts and evidence collection, as well as reports submitted by fans. Authorities have identified multiple suspects through online community platforms and social media accounts.

Notably, the agency revealed that some of the accused individuals have already admitted to the charges. Investigations into these cases have been completed and forwarded to the prosecution. Meanwhile, suspects who deny the allegations remain under active police investigation. Due to privacy protection laws and ongoing legal procedures, the identities of those involved have not been disclosed.
In its statement, Galaxy Corporation emphasized that it will continue to cooperate closely with judicial authorities and expand both civil and criminal legal measures to protect its artist’s rights. The agency reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding G-Dragon from defamatory attacks and malicious online behavior.

The legal move comes at a significant time for G-Dragon’s group BIGBANG, which celebrates its 20th debut anniversary this year. The group is expected to resume activities and is scheduled to appear at a major music festival in California this April, raising anticipation among global fans.
As online defamation cases involving celebrities continue to draw public attention in South Korea, Galaxy Corporation’s decisive response signals a zero-tolerance stance toward cyber harassment.
