On December 22nd, a production presentation for Cashero was held at The Westin Seoul Parnas. Director Lee Chang-min attended alongside cast members Lee Jun-ho, Kim Hye-jun, Kim Byung-chul, Kim Hyang-gi, Lee Chae-min, and Kang Han-na. The event was hosted by broadcaster Park Kyung-lim.
One of the biggest highlights was the meeting of Lee Jun-ho—now firmly established as a “ratings guarantee” after three consecutive projects surpassed double-digit viewership—and Lee Chae-min, who recently rose to prominence through Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. The pairing drew extra attention as both actors previously worked with Girls’ Generation’s Im Yoona, making their collaboration in Cashero all the more notable. Known for his romantic success in JTBC’s King the Land, Lee Jun-ho now meets Lee Chae-min, an emerging romance specialist from tvN’s Bon Appétit, Your Majesty, in an unconventional hero series.

Playing hero and villain respectively, Lee Jun-ho and Lee Chae-min openly praised one another, heightening anticipation for the series. Lee Chae-min, who portrays Jonathan—the ruthless heir of a criminal syndicate who stops at nothing to achieve his goals—shared, “It was an honor to work together. I learned so much from Lee Jun-ho. I kept thinking, ‘How can someone be this cool?’ He’s known for dancing, but that really shows in how well he uses his body during action scenes.” He added, “Watching him handle everything made me question whether I could ever do the same. He gave me courage and guided me a lot. It felt like a dream shoot.”
In response, Lee Jun-ho joked, “Did you prepare that in advance?” before thanking the “rising star” for his kind words. “I saw how seriously he prepared even before filming began. Our chemistry flowed really well, and acting with Lee Chae-min was genuinely fun. I even wish we had more scenes together,” he said with a smile.
Lee Jun-ho also drew attention for reuniting with Kim Hye-jun—his former on-screen sister from JTBC’s Rain or Shine seven years ago—this time as romantic partners in Cashero. “I clearly remember working together back then,” Lee said. “When we met again, I told her she hadn’t changed at all. She’s always bright and full of good energy.” He also mentioned Kang Han-na, who also appeared in Rain or Shine, adding, “We didn’t share many scenes back then, so working together now was even more fun. I’m grateful they (Kim Hye-jun and Kang Han-na) both joined this project.”

Reunions extended to Lee Chae-min and Kang Han-na as well, who previously worked together on Bon Appétit, Your Majesty. Kang Han-na commented, “We clicked immediately. In confrontation scenes, his eyes felt genuinely intimidating. He’s truly a rising star among villain characters.”
What sets Cashero apart from typical superhero dramas is its emotional core. Ahead of the show’s release, Lee Jun-ho explained, “Money may seem important, but the story ultimately shows that what truly matters is the heart. It’s not just about using superpowers—it’s about choosing to help others sincerely.” He added that the series’ everyday realism creates many relatable moments.
Director Lee Chang-min echoed this sentiment, saying, “Helping someone isn’t about having superpowers—it’s about intention and heart. I hope viewers watch how Sang-woong grows and learns to use his abilities.”
Closing the event, Lee Jun-ho shared his hopes for the show’s success: “When many people watch a project, it enriches the heart. I hope our efforts are rewarded with lots of love, and I hope many people enjoy Cashero.”
Cashero follows Kang Sang-woong (Lee Jun-ho), an ordinary salaried civil servant struggling with wedding costs and housing prices, who gains super strength proportional to the amount of cash he holds. Torn between everyday expenses and his newfound powers, he becomes a uniquely relatable, paycheck-to-paycheck hero.
Since its release on December 26th, Cashero has ranked No.1 in Netflix Korea’s TV series category and entered the Top 10 in 66 countries worldwide, confirming its strong global momentum. The series is currently streaming on Netflix.
