Former J-pop child star Tenka Hashimoto has shocked the public with news of her marriage, marking a dramatic new chapter after years of controversy and financial struggles.
According to China Times, the actress-turned-influencer recently announced that she has tied the knot with businessman and content creator Yuta Misaki. The couple reportedly registered their marriage on January 30, 2026, after getting engaged earlier in the year.

The union quickly drew attention online, with many netizens dubbing them the “most powerful influencer couple” in modern Japan, given their combined presence in the digital space.

Yuta Misaki, who is four years older than his wife, is known as the founder of a juice company generating approximately 13.1 billion yen annually (around $88 million USD). However, his career has not been without controversy. In 2019, he was arrested for tax evasion and later sentenced to two years in prison with four years of probation. After completing his sentence, he returned to business and now serves as CEO of a real estate firm.

Meanwhile, Tenka Hashimoto was once one of the most beloved child stars in Japan. Of mixed Chinese and Japanese heritage, she rose to fame at just 8 years old thanks to her bright visuals and natural talent, appearing in dramas, commercials, and stage productions. During the 2000s, she was widely praised as one of the most attractive young stars in the industry and later gained attention for her successful transition into adulthood.
However, her career took a devastating turn in 2020 due to a false advertising scandal. She promoted a breast enhancement product claiming it could increase size dramatically from cup A to cup F. The claims were later exposed as misleading, especially after it was revealed that she had undergone cosmetic surgery herself.

The backlash was severe. Within just two months, she reportedly faced over 40,000 consumer complaints, with customers demanding refunds and compensation. Despite holding a public press conference to apologize, the damage to her reputation was irreversible.
The scandal left her with debts totaling 400 million yen (approximately $3.1 million USD), eventually forcing her to declare bankruptcy. Struggling financially, she took on various jobs, including performing at bars, and later became involved in gambling, further fueling her negative image in the media.
Now, years after hitting rock bottom, her sudden marriage to a wealthy entrepreneur has reignited public interest. While some view it as a fresh start, others remain divided due to both her past controversies and her husband’s legal history.
Despite the mixed reactions, the announcement signals a turning point in Tenka Hashimoto’s life—one that many are watching closely as she attempts to rebuild both her personal and public image.
