According to Sports Hankook, Kwon Mina posted multiple long messages on her SNS over a 14-hour period from January 1 to the early hours of January 2, detailing painful experiences from her childhood through her time in the entertainment industry.
Kwon Mina revealed that she grew up in an unstable household marked by domestic violence from her father. She further disclosed that during her middle school years, she was lured by a classmate and subsequently subjected to severe physical assault and sexual violence by an older student. She explained that the case was recently investigated by Busan police, with sexual assault charges recognized in a first trial. However, due to statute-of-limitations issues related to injury charges, the case is currently awaiting a second trial. Expressing her frustration, she wrote that “the perpetrator is living well without a shred of guilt.”
She also revisited the long-standing controversy surrounding bullying within AOA. Kwon Mina debuted with the group in 2012 and left in 2019 before transitioning into acting. Since 2021, she has publicly claimed that she endured over a decade of harassment from former leader Shin Jimin, allegations that ultimately led to Shin Jimin’s departure from the team. In her latest posts, Kwon Mina stated that she was unable to stay by her father’s side during his final moments due to fear of team repercussions, writing that she felt “branded as someone who deserved to die.”
Addressing another past controversy, Kwon Mina clarified the dating scandal involving her ex-boyfriend and allegations of overlapping relationships. She claimed she was deceived after being told his previous relationship had ended, only to later discover that this was not true. Reflecting on the backlash she faced, she criticized her ex for his dishonesty, stating that his lies turned her daily life into turmoil.

Additionally, Kwon Mina accused a well-known psychiatrist she had consulted of violating patient confidentiality by sharing private counseling details with others.
Kwon Mina also spoke candidly about the emotional toll of malicious online comments, revealing for the first time that she had recently attempted an extreme act and was rescued. Addressing critics, she wrote, “Do you think this is a show? Could you do something like this yourselves?”
Despite her pain, Kwon Mina expressed a desire to continue living, saying she endures with the hope that she may one day recover and live an ordinary life. She emphasized that everything she shared was true, adding that “this was never about seeking attention, but about telling the truth.”
Kwon Mina previously appeared at the press conference for MBC’s drama Hospital Ship, and has continued limited public activities in recent years.
