Fans of Kim Juhoon, a member of rookie K-pop boy group Cortis, have taken public action against HYBE, sending a protest truck to the company’s headquarters. The demonstration was staged to call out what fans describe as unfair and discriminatory treatment toward the idol.
The protest follows a series of incidents, including Juhoon’s limited screen time and cut solo parts during major public appearances. At the 2025 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), Juhoon’s solo performance segment was reportedly removed, and he was given just two seconds during two separate award acceptance speeches. Fans also noted that he was the only Cortis member who did not receive a solo camera focus during the red carpet segment.

Ongoing Frustration Over Unequal Treatment
This is not the first time concerns over Juhoon’s treatment have been raised. Fans allege that the singer consistently receives fewer singing lines, less promotional focus, and is often excluded from group content. According to the protest messages displayed on the LED truck, the issue extends beyond media exposure and reflects a broader lack of support from the agency.

Additionally, fans expressed concern over the dynamics within the group itself, claiming that other members of Cortis appear distant toward Juhoon, while a portion of the fandom has labeled him a “spare” or “unnecessary” member.
Key Demands from Fans
The protest truck outlined the following demands:
- Equal distribution of screen time and performance parts for Kim Juhoon.
- An end to the cutting of solo segments in future performances and public appearances.
- A clear commitment from HYBE to ensure fair and respectful treatment of all members.

“Juhoon has repeatedly been sidelined in performances and promotions, with the company ignoring ongoing concerns from fans,” the protest statement read. “We, as fans of Kim Juhoon, only ask for fairness.”
As of now, HYBE has not released an official response to the protest.
