Japanese Gen Z actor Takizawa Ryo has surprised the public by suddenly announcing his marriage to screenwriter Kido Risa, who is 10 years older than him. Fans quickly flooded social media with congratulatory messages for the young star.
According to a report by Yahoo News Japan on March 5, Takizawa tied the knot shortly after leaving his longtime management company. His bride, Kido Risa, currently works as a screenwriter but has previously held a variety of jobs, including working as a legal assistant and in corporate public relations.

Born in 1988, Kido Risa first attracted public attention when she appeared on the popular dating reality show The Bachelor Japan Season 2 about eight years ago. At the time, she was 30 years old and gained considerable support from viewers thanks to her mature beauty, intelligence, and composed personality.
Japanese media also revealed several interesting details about the couple’s love story. The two reportedly met through mutual friends at a bar in Tokyo in late 2024. During their first meeting, they quickly felt a strong connection and ended up talking throughout the night until early the next morning.

According to sources close to the couple, one of the things that brought them together was their shared love for casual Chinese street food. They dated for about a year before deciding to take their relationship to the next level and eventually held their wedding ceremony earlier this year.
On his personal page, Takizawa also shared heartfelt words about his wife. He wrote that although it is a personal matter, he wanted to let everyone know that he had decided to marry the woman he had been dating. He described his wife as a very reliable person who had supported and helped him for a long time despite his own shortcomings and immaturity.

Born in 1998, Takizawa is widely regarded as one of the most handsome Gen Z actors in the Japanese entertainment industry. He is known as a versatile performer who has been active in various fields within J-biz. In addition to television dramas, he has also made a mark on the theater stage and even released a music album.
Takizawa officially entered the entertainment industry in 2008 at the age of 10 when he played young Simba in the stage musical The Lion King. His career reached a new level of recognition in 2024 after appearing in the hit series Kamen Rider Gavv.

Last year, Takizawa was also selected for the Yahoo! Search Awards 2025 in the Breakthrough category, recognizing his rapid rise in popularity thanks to his continuous efforts in the entertainment industry.
