Wang Hongqin, also known by his nickname Qiu Qiu, the 19-year-old son of actress Wang Yan, has become a hot topic on social media thanks to his bright visuals and model-like physique.
Recently, Wang Yan shared a video on Weibo introducing a lineup of Lunar New Year products. Appearing alongside her was her son Wang Hongqin, who immediately drew attention for his tall stature, healthy style, and refined appearance. At just 19 years old, his visuals sparked a wave of admiration from netizens.

Comments on Weibo praised him as “handsome like a male god,” “on par with movie actors,” and even predicted that he could “enter C-entertainment soon.” According to QQ, the dramatic change in his appearance has particularly surprised the public. Once remembered as a chubby, pampered child on variety shows during his early years, Qiu Qiu has grown into a fit young man standing at 1.85 meters tall, with defined abs, broad shoulders, and delicate facial features that strongly resemble his mother, Wang Yan. Some fans have gone as far as comparing him to popular idols such as William Chan and Lai Kuan Lin.
Beyond his looks, Wang Hongqin has also shown noticeable growth in personality. During his early teenage years, he was known to clash with his mother and complain about having limited allowance money. Now, he is said to be far more considerate openly hugging his mother, giving her flowers on special occasions, and encouraging Wang Yan to return to the entertainment industry.

In June last year, Wang Hongqin was admitted to Peking University through a guaranteed admission program as a “national first-class basketball athlete.” Reports indicate that he lost around 10 kilograms through intensive training and scored 28 points in a high school basketball league game, meeting the university’s strict athletic admission requirements.
Wang Yan, born in 1974, is known for her classic East Asian beauty and emotionally rich acting. She starred in numerous popular dramas, including Romance in the Rain, Warriors of the Yang Clan, Sigh of His Highness, and most notably My Fair Princess. In 1997, she married businessman Wang Zhicai, who is 11 years her senior and had previously been married. The couple welcomed their son in 2006, after which Wang Yan largely stepped away from acting.
Wang Zhicai is an Australia-based real estate businessman of Chinese descent and the registered owner of Beijing Wangfu Century Development Co., Ltd. Reports claim he owns multiple properties in Beijing, with an estimated net worth of around 10 billion yuan (approximately USD 1.48 billion). In recent years, he has been linked to rumors involving gambling debts and property seizures, though these claims have not been officially confirmed.
