The two groups were pulled into the conflict.
Recently, it was announced that NJZ (NewJeans) would return to ADOR following their long legal battle with the company.

However, the effects of the legal battle, specifically on the groups drawn into the conflict, have raised many questions.
ILLIT were drawn in due to allegations of copying NewJeans’ concept, along with being the group allegedly told to ignore Hanni. Ex-ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin claimed that NewJeans were pushed to the side for LE SSERAFIM’s debut, which she claimed during her first new conference.

In a post on a popular forum, a netizen provided evidence of the damage caused to the two groups by their involvement in NewJeans’ legal battle.
The post included numerous comments on both LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT content from last year, showing the “least malicious”, which only mentioned NewJeans.

- Haerin, Hyein, Danielle, Hanni, Minji
- NewJeans

- NewJeans’ new song is so freaking good.
- NewJeans, I love you ㅠ

- NewJeans is doing great.
- They must be happy since Sihyuk is supporting them… Meanwhile, someone else gets overlooked despite their talent and effort, just because Sihyuk doesn’t like them ㅠ
- NewJeans rocks.
- No matter what anyone says, you’re number one.
The OP also included topics and news posts about the two groups that received negative comments, including allegations of “stealing” a brand sponsorship.

- Comments on the short video of ILLIT’s Wonhee reporting hate comments
- “Hate toward NewJeans is growing” ··· Fans react to ILLIT’s Wonhee reporting malicious comments during her live broadcast
- Today, ILLIT’s Wonhee reported hate comments in real time during her livestream.
- A luxury brand that was previously under contract with NewJeans is now working to sign a new deal with LE SSERAFIM.
Netizens reacted to the reminders of the “damage” caused, criticizing NewJeans and the group’s fandom.

- I seriously wonder if Tokki (NewJeans fandom) even has a conscience, lol.
- They just don’t want to admit they were wrong. I used to think they were a “revolutionary fandom,” but in reality, they turned out to be hate-comment factories.
- The crazy part is how normal it’s become for them to be flooded with hate. Even when a comeback happens and promotional videos could be posted, I honestly wished they wouldn’t… because there are too many hate comments ㅠ It even went viral because of hate comments on such a trivial post ㅠ I wanted to defend them, but my mental state was so wrecked I couldn’t even look.
- Most fandoms might fight with the company, but they don’t pull their fellow idols’ hair. What’s wrong with these people…? They, of all people, should know how hard the trainee days were and how tough it was to debut, yet they have no sense of camaraderie at all…
