The son of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, has found himself at the center of controversy after sharing photos of his first luxury car and a picture with a rumored girlfriend despite being only 15 years old.
On his personal Instagram account, Ronaldo Jr posted a photo posing with a luxury SUV, captioned “My first car.” The post quickly went viral, with many netizens divided over whether the teenager’s show of wealth was harmless fun or inappropriate.
While some fans argued that Ronaldo Jr’s lifestyle is “inevitable” given his father’s immense fortune amassed through decades of football success and sponsorship deals others criticized the display as “tone-deaf and entitled.”

“He’s only 15. Why does he need a luxury SUV? It sends the wrong message,” one comment read.
Critics were quick to point out that in Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo and his family currently reside, the legal driving age is 18. The post has reignited discussions about celebrity privilege and the blurred boundaries between legality and influence in the region.
According to a 2021 AAA Foundation report, only about 4% of teens aged 15–16 in developed nations own cars underscoring how unusual it is for someone Ronaldo Jr’s age to flaunt vehicle ownership.
The incident has prompted some to question whether Ronaldo’s family receives special treatment that exempts them from standard rules in Saudi Arabia, where the football icon currently plays for Al Nassr.
Shortly after the car photo went viral, Ronaldo Jr shared another image this time posing beside a girl next to a luxury vehicle, leading to speculation that she might be his girlfriend.

The post sparked another wave of discussion online, with many urging caution about exposing personal life details at such a young age. “He should be focusing on football, not fame,” and “Being Ronaldo’s son already comes with pressure he doesn’t need the spotlight for the wrong reasons.”
Despite the controversy, Ronaldo Jr continues to make strides in his football career. On October 31, he made his official debut for Portugal’s U16 national team in a 2–0 victory over Turkey in Antalya.
The young forward came on as a late substitute and received enthusiastic cheers from the crowd and attention from scouts watching the match.
Currently representing Al Nassr U16, Ronaldo Jr recently helped his team win the King’s Cup after scoring a decisive double against Al Hilal, showcasing both skill and composure reminiscent of his father’s early years.
Earlier this season, he also scored from a brilliant free-kick against Al-Ahly, earning praise from fans for his technical precision and goal-scoring instinct.
While Ronaldo Jr’s progress on the pitch is undeniable, his off-field behavior continues to spark debate about how fame and wealth can shape young athletes.
