Choi Mina Sue, the breakout star of Netflix reality show “Single’s Inferno 5,” has officially kicked off her acting career after signing an exclusive contract with Korean agency CRB Entertainment.
According to Korean media reports, CRB Entertainment recently introduced Choi through its official social media channels, sharing new profile photos and behind-the-scenes images from a magazine pictorial that signal her full-scale entry into the entertainment industry.
As of Feb. 19, major Korean portal sites have updated her profile to list CRB Entertainment as her management company, confirming the partnership and marking a new chapter in her post–reality show career, according to Allkpop.
Choi gained widespread attention earlier this year on “Single’s Inferno 5,” where she drew strong reactions from viewers for her confident, straightforward attitude and emotionally complex choices in the dating show’s love triangles.
While some online commentators criticized her as a “villain,” the label only fueled more discussion around her, turning her into one of the most talked-about contestants of the season and boosting her popularity at home and abroad.
Even before “Single’s Inferno 5,” Choi had already begun building a résumé in front of the camera and on stage. She was crowned Miss Korea Sun (first runner-up) in 2021 and went on to become the first Korean winner of the international Miss Earth pageant in 2022, a historic victory that increased her visibility across Asia.
After her pageant success, she joined the Korean variety show “Battle for Tenancy: Penthouse” (also known as “Survival at Penthouse”) in 2022, finishing the competition in the top ranks.
Choi has also tried to get into scripted work with brief but notable drama appearances, Marie Claire reported.
She made a cameo in the romantic comedy “DNA Lover” in 2024 and later appeared in tvN weekend drama “Law and the City,” where she played a blind date opposite star actor Lee Jong Suk, a scene that resurfaced online once “Single’s Inferno 5” began airing.
Korean profile sites further list cameos in other series, including “Melo Movie,” hinting at her interest in expanding into acting even before signing with CRB Entertainment.
With her new agency behind her, industry watchers expect CRB Entertainment to focus on developing Choi’s potential as an actress while also leveraging her image as a global beauty queen and reality show personality.
Fans are now waiting to see what her first official drama or film role under the new management will be and whether she can translate her reality TV buzz into a sustained acting career, as per Rolling Stone Philippines.
