According to Chinese-language media reports, Charmaine Sheh recently shared candid thoughts about marriage and life during an interview. The veteran actress revealed that if she could turn back the clock 20 years, she might have chosen to get married and have children. However, now that she is 50, her perspective has changed significantly.

Charmaine Sheh explained that witnessing the sacrifices her friends have made for their families, husbands, and children made her realize that taking care of a household is “far more exhausting than acting in films and dramas.” This realization ultimately shattered her former expectations about marriage.
In addition, the actress spoke about her outlook on life and its unpredictability. Acknowledging that no one knows what tomorrow may bring, she said she did not want the money she worked so hard to earn to go to waste. As a result, Charmaine Sheh has already completed her will, clearly allocating most of her assets to her mother and two older brothers.

She previously confirmed in another interview that she had just finalized her will, emphasizing that she wanted to protect the fruits of her lifelong hard work in case anything were to happen. This decision was reportedly influenced by the passing of her godfather, Benz Hui, which deeply affected her and made her reflect on the fleeting nature of life.
With a career spanning more than 28 years, Charmaine Sheh is one of the few TVB actresses who has successfully portrayed a wide range of roles, from protagonists to villains. Despite having fame, wealth, and an impressive body of work, she remains single at 50 and is often referred to as a “golden single lady” in Chinese showbiz.
