Actress Cecilia Cheung appeared in court on December 5 wearing dark clothing, a mask, and sunglasses, accompanied by a man believed to be her lawyer. She avoided media questions and quickly entered the courtroom.
According to the case files, in 2011, Cecilia Cheung signed exclusive management and six-film contracts with AEG Entertainment Group Limited, which appointed Yu Yuk-hing as her personal manager. The company reportedly advanced a total of 42.76 million HKD to the actress.

Cecilia Cheung is accused of breaching the management contract by failing to cooperate with Yu Yuk-hing and not fulfilling the agreed number of films, allegedly causing financial losses to the management company.
At the hearing, Cecilia Cheung testified that she has been active in the entertainment industry since 1998, starting at age 18, and had 13 years of experience by 2011. She denied signing the contracts with AEG Entertainment, claiming both the agreement and her signature were forged.

She also denied that Yu Yuk-hing was her manager, stating that she only had two managers: Chu Wing-long and Ms. Chan Lam. Cecilia Cheung added that she has never managed her finances and that all matters, including contracts, money, and bank passwords, were handled by her manager Chu Wing-long.
Regarding the alleged failure to complete her film commitments, the actress explained that conflicts arose because Yu Yuk-hing ceased cooperation first, making it not her fault.
Cecilia Cheung emphasized that when signing an exclusive management contract, she valued personal integrity more than money or duration. She stated, “If the manager is good, I would sign a lifetime contract with them.”

The date for the next court hearing has not yet been disclosed.
Born in 1980, Cecilia Cheung is known for films such as The Lion Roars, King of Comedy, and Never Ending Story.
