V (of BTS) was recently chosen by a renowned plastic surgeon in South Korea as the ultimate visual representative in K‑pop. Remarkably, this idol is also the one whose photo is brought into the clinic the most by South Korean men hoping to “look like him.” Specifically, surgeon Lee Kyung Mook recently hosted a special program titled “Visual Ideal Type Tournament” on the YouTube channel of Objet Plastic Surgery.

The video featured 32 male idols from leading K‑pop groups such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, NCT, ENHYPEN and TXT, plus solo artist and visual star Cha Eun‑woo. The idols were paired off in rounds, and Dr. Lee evaluated the visual appeal of each, eliminating competitors round by round. In the final round, he selected V (Kim Taehyung) of BTS as the ultimate winner.

Explaining his decision, Dr. Lee said:
“V is someone even men find extremely handsome. When male clients come in for consultations, the photo they bring most often is his. He’s the star men most want to look like.”
This statement is quite significant, because in South Korea’s cosmetic‑surgery industry—where bringing a celebrity photo to the clinic is very common—the fact that men, who often do not admit wanting to resemble someone else, are bringing V’s photo shows that his visual appeal transcends gender barriers.

V is not only recognised as one of K‑pop’s top visuals, but over the years has received numerous titles such as “most handsome man in the world” from global media outlets. Many plastic surgeons say his face approaches the classical golden ratio. With his striking appearance and unique aura, V remains a sought‑after name in the beauty industry. Most recently, Korean and Japanese cosmetic brands TIRTIR and Yunth have selected him as their ambassador and launched major advertising campaigns leveraging his global influence.
