American reality star Brandi Glanville, known from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, has shared a miraculous recovery after suffering from a severe facial parasite infection that began in 2023. The infection caused extreme facial disfigurement, leaving her desperate and at one point feeling that she “didn’t want to live.”
Glanville revealed on November 20 that after two years of battling the condition, her symptoms have finally improved. While filming a reality show in Morocco in 2023, she claims she contracted a parasite that caused facial deformities and strange lumps. She sought help from over 20 doctors and attempted home remedies, including using hair removal cream, which resulted in chemical burns.
Throughout the ordeal, some doctors and insurance providers dismissed her condition as “inflammation or old fillers,” refusing coverage. Even Botox specialist Dr. Terry Dubrow suggested the issue might be a reaction to injected substances, not parasites.
Eventually, Glanville consulted infectious disease immunologist Dr. Michael R. Scoma, who treated her successfully. Despite high medical expenses and debt, Glanville says her recovery has allowed her to return to normal life. She recently moved into a new home and is enjoying a peaceful life.
Glanville, a former model, also faced personal struggles, including a divorce from actor Eddie Cibrian following his affair. She is now raising her two sons and has published a memoir, becoming a bestselling author.
