BLACKPINK’s Rosé is set to take the stage at the 68th Grammy Awards, marking a historic milestone for K-pop. On January 29, the Recording Academy officially announced that Rosé will perform at the ceremony, which will be held on February 1 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
This appearance makes Rosé the first K-pop solo artist in history to perform at the Grammy Awards. Previously, BTS had performed at the ceremony as a group in the early 2000s, but no K-pop soloist has ever taken the Grammy stage until now.
Rosé is also making history as the first K-pop artist to be nominated in the main Grammy categories. Her duet track “APT.” with Bruno Mars has earned nominations for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, placing her among the most competitive global artists of the year.

The Grammy Awards are widely regarded as the most prestigious honors in the global music industry, and Rosé’s nominations signal a breakthrough moment for K-pop on the international stage. With “APT.” achieving massive worldwide success, global attention is now focused on whether Rosé can secure her first Grammy win.
In addition to Rosé, HYBE’s U.S.–Korea joint girl group KATSEYE will also perform during the ceremony alongside nominees for Best New Artist, including Olivia Dean. Furthermore, the song “Golden” from Netflix’s animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters has been nominated for Song of the Year and several other categories.
Rosé’s performance and nominations highlight a defining moment not only in her solo career but also in the expanding global recognition of K-pop at the highest level of the music industry.
