The hidden reality of dating a K-Pop idol has resurfaced after YouTuber Rachel Kwon opened up about her past relationship with former N-SONIC leader J.Heart, offering fans a rare behind-the-scenes look at the emotional toll of maintaining a secret romance.
N-SONIC debuted in 2012 under C2K Entertainment, with J.Heart serving as the group’s leader. Although the boy group eventually disbanded in 2016, public interest in J.Heart recently returned after Rachel shared details about their relationship, which ultimately led to their marriage in 2022.

Rachel revealed that she first met J.Heart in 2014, just a few months after moving to South Korea. The two began dating shortly after, but their relationship remained hidden from the public due to the sensitive nature of idol dating culture.
According to Rachel, the concept of being a “secret girlfriend” proved far more emotionally demanding than she initially expected. She recalled an early incident when the couple went out together and a fan later questioned J.Heart online about who he had been with. The situation reportedly caused trouble for the idol and forced the couple to become even more cautious about being seen together.

Rachel also shared that J.Heart’s demanding schedule, including frequent international travel for work, created additional strain on their relationship. Another source of stress was uncertainty about whether his family was aware of their romance, further intensifying the emotional pressure she experienced at the time.
Despite the challenges, the couple’s relationship endured beyond N-SONIC’s disbandment. Their story eventually reached a happy ending when they tied the knot in 2022. Rachel’s candid reflections have since drawn attention for shedding light on the less glamorous, often overlooked realities behind idol relationships that are typically portrayed as romantic fantasies.
