Businessman Wang Xiaofei, the former husband of late actress Barbie Hsu, has welcomed a baby boy with his new wife, Mandy. The news has quickly drawn public attention, particularly among fans of the late Taiwanese star.
According to Taiwan’s ETtoday on February 24 (local time), Wang Xiaofei’s mother, Zhang Lan, confirmed that her new daughter-in-law safely gave birth to a son. She had previously expressed excitement about the upcoming arrival, sharing that she had been counting down the days to meet her grandson.

Mandy earlier revealed that she planned to give birth in Taiwan, explaining that Wang Xiaofei’s frequent business trips would make it difficult for him to stay by her side during her postpartum recovery. “My friends and family are here they can help me,” she said. She also noted that since Wang is originally from Beijing, household registration and related procedures for the baby had already been completed. After finishing her postpartum care, she is expected to return to Beijing.
The news of Wang Xiaofei’s newborn son has inevitably redirected public focus to his two children with Barbie Hsu. The couple married in 2011 after just 49 days of dating but finalized their divorce in 2021 after 10 years together. Following their split, they were involved in prolonged legal disputes over child support and other personal matters, which attracted significant media coverage.
Tragedy struck in February last year when Barbie Hsu passed away during a family trip to Japan due to complications from influenza that developed into pneumonia. Her sudden death shocked fans across Asia. Local media reported that she left behind an estate valued at approximately NT$1 billion. Under Taiwanese law, her two children with Wang Xiaofei and her current husband, Korean musician Koo Jun Yup, are expected to share the inheritance.

Amid growing speculation over inheritance matters, Koo Jun Yup publicly addressed the issue, stating, “All of the assets were accumulated through Barbie Hsu’s sweat, tears, and hard work to protect the family she loved.” He added that he intended to transfer his inheritance rights to his mother-in-law.
As Wang Xiaofei embarks on a new chapter with an expanded family, public discourse continues to center on the complicated legacy left behind by Barbie Hsu both emotionally and financially.
