AKB48 Team TP is facing unexpected controversy as its fourth-generation member Fan Jiang You En was officially removed from the group following a string of serious breaches of her contract. Management agency Hao Yan Entertainment announced the termination on December 22, citing three key violations that culminated in the immediate end of her activities under the company.

In a formal statement, the agency outlined the reasons for their decision: 1) participation in activities that damaged the group’s image without prior approval, 2) auditioning for cheerleading squads without permission, and 3) personal integrity issues that sparked conflict with third parties. These actions, the company claimed, violated the terms of her exclusive contract and damaged its reputation.

The incident that brought her behavior into sharp public focus involved a reported case where Fan Jiang You En agreed to act as a substitute dance instructor but failed to show up on the day of the class. According to a social media post from the original teacher, Fan demanded a travel fee upfront but disappeared after receiving it. She later gave a brief apology, stating she “forgot,” leaving elementary school students waiting in the classroom without supervision—a situation the teacher called “irresponsible and dangerous.”

Adding to the backlash, Fan had previously accepted modeling work for a male sexual performance product—work that blatantly clashed with the wholesome idol image expected of AKB48 members. This, too, was cited as a contributing factor in the decision to sever ties.

Further scrutiny arose when it was discovered that Fan had also independently signed up for auditions for two well-known cheerleading squads—Xiaolongnü and Dianbaonü—without informing or getting approval from the company. Images from the auditions circulated online, leading to public criticism and further internal tensions.

This is not the first time Fan Jiang You En has faced disciplinary action. She was previously suspended for one year in 2024 for undisclosed violations and only recently resumed activities in October 2025. Her latest behavior, however, appears to have exhausted the company’s tolerance.

Hao Yan Entertainment emphasized that multiple opportunities for correction had been offered: “Despite repeated guidance and chances, the artist showed no sign of remorse and continued with behavior that harmed the company’s image and caused financial loss. We are now terminating the contract in accordance with legal provisions and reserve the right to pursue further legal action.”
Fan Jiang You En’s profile has since been removed from the AKB48 Team TP official website.
This case reignites conversations around the standards expected of idol trainees and group members, especially in franchises with tightly controlled images like AKB48. The public response so far has been one of concern and disappointment, with fans expressing mixed emotions across social platforms.
As of now, Fan Jiang You En has not issued a personal statement.
