Dating rumors are swirling around an actor and his rumored girlfriend, an alleged heiress who is about twenty years his junior.
Ethan Juan (also known as Ethan Ruan) is a Taiwanese actor and model who made his acting debut in the 2004 series Michael the Archangel. He achieved breakout success in Fated to Love You (2008), the highest-rated Taiwanese idol drama of all time, and has been acting ever since.
Like his professional life, his love life has made headlines over the years. When he entered the entertainment industry, he started a romantic relationship with his then-manager, Chang Te Lin, who is 12 years older than him. Their romance ended in 2005, when Juan fell for his Green Forest co-star Esther Liu, and resumed after Liu’s agency opposed his relationship with Liu.
Juan dated Joanna Shao, a wealthy woman four years his senior, from 2006 to 2007. In 2008, Shao claimed that, for about a month, Juan had dated her and actress Tiffany Hsu at the same time. Although her exact age was not mentioned, Hat Xu is believed to be about twenty years younger than Juan and is said to come from a wealthy, influential family.
Hat Xu is reportedly living in South Korea and studying at a prestigious Korean university.
She reportedly flew to Taipei last July and stayed with Juan at his home for weeks before returning to Korea to continue her studies.
