The anecdote was shared at the production press conference for tvN’s upcoming Wednesday–Thursday drama Our Universe, where the cast opened up about their experiences working with a 20-month-old child actor.
The press event took place on January 27 and was attended by lead actors Bae In Hyuk, Roh Jeong Eui, Park Seo Ham, as well as co-directors Lee Hyun Seok and Jung Yeo Jin. During the event, child actor Park Yoo Ho, who plays the baby character Woo Joo, made a surprise appearance and instantly brightened the atmosphere.

Our Universe tells the story of two people whose relationship becomes unexpectedly complicated when they suddenly find themselves raising their 20-month-old nephew, Woo Joo. What begins as an awkward cohabitation turns into a heartfelt growth romance, as two individuals who are neither strangers nor quite family learn to adapt to a new “universe” that enters their lives without warning.
Roh Jeong Eui, born in 2001, plays Woo Hyun Jin, a passionate and optimistic job seeker. She shared that filming with baby Woo Joo led to countless unexpected moments. She recalled frequently bursting into laughter because he was so adorable, which resulted in many bloopers. She added that even though Woo Joo had no lines, he often tried to mimic dialogue, and as filming progressed, he began saying simple words like “bye-bye,” making the set full of laughter throughout the shoot.

Bae In Hyuk, born in 1998, plays Sun Tae Hyung, a prickly-on-the-outside but warm-hearted photography assistant. He admitted that having no prior experience with childcare made filming challenging. He then shared the moment that surprised everyone: while Roh Jeong Eui was being filmed and he was holding Woo Joo off-camera, the toddler suddenly grabbed his face and planted a kiss on him. The unexpected gesture drew laughter from the audience and became one of the most memorable moments on set for the actor.
Park Seo Ham, born in 1993, portrays Park Yoon Sung, Woo Hyun Jin’s first love, a character admired for both his looks and abilities. He recalled that due to his height, Woo Joo was initially afraid of him, making it difficult to approach. However, one day the child suddenly hugged him, leaving Park Seo Ham feeling overwhelmingly happy, as if he “had the whole world.” He also noted how impressed he was whenever the young actor reacted naturally during scenes.

Our Universe is set to premiere on February 4 at 10:40 p.m. KST, promising a blend of warmth, humor, and emotional growth—made even more special by the unpredictable charm of its youngest star.
