A Korean star has directly addressed his hygiene controversies, which include not changing his underwear for days, as well as blowing his nose and wiping his mouth with the same towel.
On November 5th, Kian84 posted a video titled “Daily Life 2 Filmed and Edited Alone” on his YouTube channel, where he explained the hygiene issues.
In the video, Kian84 prepared himself before welcoming guests. He said, “I’ve been criticized a lot lately for not changing my underwear, but I’m not actually that dirty.”
He also revealed part of his shower routine, saying, “I use a filtered shower head when I shower and wash my face at home.”
Earlier, Kian84 faced hygiene criticism after the Netflix variety show Kian’s Bizarre B&B 2, released last month, revealed he hadn’t changed his underwear for over three days.
During the show, former volleyball player Kim Yeon Kyung asked, “Don’t you maintain cleanliness in the military? Did you learn wrong there?” Kian84 replied, “They kept telling me to wash back then, so I didn’t want to wash after coming into society. I resisted because of officers like you.”
After the show aired, viewers pointed out that since the program involves hosting guests rather than being a solo show, Kian84 should have been more careful about hygiene.
He also received attention for other hygiene issues that shocked Girls’ Generation (also known as SNSD) member Yuri on I Live Alone.
