On October 28, Nana shared several photos from a pictorial on her social media account, giving fans an update on her recent activities. In the photos, she struck various poses in front of the camera. With a short black bob, pink-toned makeup, and an outfit featuring delicate shoulder straps, she showcased an ethereal atmosphere alongside her signature charm. What stood out most, however, was her noticeably smoother skin. The tattoos that once covered areas including her arms, shoulders, and chest were barely visible in the new photos.
Nana made headlines in 2022 when she revealed that she had tattoos covering much of her body. She later decided to have them removed at her mother’s suggestion and has undergone the lengthy process over an extended period. During an appearance on the web variety show “Salon Drip 2,” she recalled, “After quite some time had passed, my mother cautiously asked me, ‘What do you think about getting them removed?’” She continued, “I immediately replied, ‘I’m in! I can get them removed.’”

The removal process was far from easy. On the same show, Nana said, “They’re almost all gone now,” revealing that she had undergone five tattoo removal sessions without applying anesthetic cream. Explaining her decision, she said, “If I use it, I have to wait three to four hours. That feels like such a waste of time.” She also shared that areas close to the bones, such as her chest, ribs, and the tops of her feet, were particularly painful.

However, there is one tattoo Nana has chosen not to remove: the number “1968” inked on her right leg. It represents the year her mother was born, and she has kept it intact while gradually removing the rest of her tattoos. Nana explained its significance, saying, “It’s the year my mother was born. I just wanted to keep this tattoo.” Both the reason she decided to remove so many tattoos and the reason she chose to preserve this one ultimately came down to her mother.

Nana, a member of girl group After School, has expanded her career into acting. She continues to build her filmography with various projects, including the Netflix series “Mask Girl” and “The Scandal,” as well as the film “Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy.”
