K-pop star Taeil has been expelled from his group, NCT, after being indicted for sexual assault, music label SM Entertainment said.
Taeil, 30, (real name Moon Tae-il) is accused of sexually assaulting an intoxicated woman with acquaintances last June.
According to legal sources, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office’s Women and Children’s Crime Investigation Division 1 indicted Moon and two accomplices on February 28 on charges under the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes.
In a post on X, formerly Twitter, SM Entertainment said: “We have recently confirmed that Taeil has been accused in a criminal case related to a sexual offence.
