A single dad actor spoke about the times he feels the loneliest, revealing that he struggles with dating due to his son.
On the October 17th broadcast of MBN’s Healing Talk Dongchimi, the show focused on the theme “I’ll Love This Fall.”
On the show, Lee Tae Sung said, “I debuted in my senior year of high school. Through acting, I’ve dated, fallen in love, and even had a wedding scene. But I’ve never been on a blind date. Since I have a son, dating hasn’t been easy.”

He continued, “After my son was born and I returned (to acting), I did try dating, but there were many difficulties. Especially on Christmas, when my son was young. My girlfriend wanted to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas together eating something nice, but I had to be with my son. I confessed that my girlfriend came second.”
Lee Tae Sung said, “I wonder what my baby wants, if he wants to go to an amusement park? Even when I’m on a date, I feel a constant pang of guilt. Even if I take my girlfriend somewhere nice, I ask myself if this is okay.”

When Hyun Young said, “You should meet together,” Lee Tae Sung responded, “When the child is young, it can be confusing. Now that he’s grown, he understands, but when he was little, it was hard to explain.”
When Kim Yong Man asked, “When do you feel the loneliest?” Lee Tae Sung replied, “I think all single men feel the same way. When I’m sick, eating dinner alone, feeding the dogs. Just me and the dogs eating simply — curry and some kimchi.”
When Noh Sa Yeon asked where his son was, Lee Tae Sung said he was at his parents’ house and shared, “When I’m sick and running a fever, I drive myself to the hospital, get an IV, and afterward I’m hungry, so I eat alone at a soup restaurant. Everyone else is eating with their family and friends. What’s worse is that the food tastes good then. That’s when I feel truly lonely.”
