A Korean star was surprised by the aftereffects she experienced following the birth of her child.
On October 15th, a YouTube channel posted a video titled “Postpartum Care Center Might Really Be Heaven…?! First Childcare Challenge for New Parents.”
After touring the inside of the postpartum care center, comedian Kim Seung Hye expressed satisfaction, saying, “It feels good just to lie down.”
However, she also shared her concerns about the changes in her body after childbirth. Once known as a “beautiful comedian,” Kim Seung Hye was taken aback by the increasingly severe swelling of her face.
She worried, “Strangely, my face keeps getting more swollen. It seems even more swollen than when I was pregnant. What should I do?” She added, “My feet look like elephant feet, and my whole body feels more swollen,” expressing her distress.
Especially attracting attention was her comment that “my feet, which didn’t swell even during pregnancy, have turned into elephant feet.” Although she was wearing compression bands, her legs remained puffy, prompting her husband Kim Hae Jun to personally give her a massage.
Kim Hae Jun carefully massaged his wife’s legs to reassure her. “This is real swelling. I’ve experienced it myself. Fat and swelling are completely different. This is swelling that can be reduced. Don’t worry. There’s nothing to be concerned about,” he comforted her.
After the massage, the couple was surprised by an unexpected difference. The thickness of the leg that received the massage was noticeably reduced compared to the one that didn’t.
Kim Seung Hye exclaimed, “The difference is incredible. Can it really be this big? It’s amazing,” unable to hide her surprise. Kim Hae Jun joked, “It’s swelling. When an expert’s hands are involved, there’s bound to be a difference.”
There was also a difference in the color of the legs. The massaged area appeared noticeably paler, and Kim Hae Jun explained, “That means the blood is circulating. I helped improve the blood flow by applying pressure with my hands.”
Kim Seung Hye married fellow comedian Kim Hae Jun in 2024 and welcomed their daughter last month on the 29th, two years after their wedding.
