This unexpected affair stemmed from something the idol said during his birthday livestream. Jimin celebrated his birthday with fans through a Weverse livestream on October 13, during which he showed off the “13” tattoo on his arm, talking about how it is a really good number.

A Brazilian fanpage reposted the clip on X (formerly Twitter) and jokingly called Jimin “comrade,” since 13 is the official ballot number of the ruling Workers’ Party in the country. The official X account of the current president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, ended up responding to the post, thanking Jimin.
