SHINee member Taemin‘s canceled concert in the United States has caused unexpected disruptions to a Korean cultural event involving dozens of businesses, as ongoing visa issues continue to affect the singer’s overseas activities.
According to a report published on October 13, Taemin’s concert, originally scheduled for October 25 at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, has been canceled. As a result, K-ERA FEST, a Korean cultural and product exhibition planned in connection with the performance, has also been postponed until spring 2027.
The event was originally expected to feature 31 South Korean brands and three U.S.-based companies. Organizers had planned to attract concertgoers attending Taemin’s performance to the exhibition, creating opportunities to promote Korean culture and products to international audiences. However, following the concert’s cancellation, organizers reportedly concluded that they would be unable to secure the anticipated number of visitors, prompting the decision to postpone the festival.
Previously, on September 29, Taemin’s representatives announced the postponement of six North American stops on his LiMiNaL world tour due to delays in obtaining U.S. visas for essential concert personnel. Although the Seattle concert was organized separately from the tour, it has now also been canceled, extending the impact of the visa-related complications beyond Taemin’s performances to businesses and cultural events associated with his activities.
