He shared his plans in a new video.
Mark Lee may be starting an unexpected chapter in his music career, as he recently shared his plans to make kids-POP music after spending time with two young children.
On October 9, the official Upper Room YouTube channel released an episode titled “Mark Lee & Kids-POP,” which showed the artist meeting two children at a kids’ cafe.
Mark quickly bonded with the children, playing with toy cars and even pretending to be a monster.

Later, they went to a coin karaoke room, where Mark sang his own song “Too Much” at the children’s request. However, as the English lyrics continued, the kids started losing interest, prompting Mark to burst out laughing.
The children then picked their own songs, which Mark listened to attentively. This seemingly gave the former NCT star new ideas about the music he wanted to make.
I want to make songs like these, too. If I make songs like these, you have to sing along.
Thank you for letting me hear such great songs. I’ll come back with music of my own…. I’m planning to make one [Kids-POP music] starting now. That’s why we met today.

After the day ended, Mark said the time he spent with the kids was not only fun, but also inspiring.
Today was pretty much an ‘inspiration day.’ The kids listen to music that’s more mature than I expected.
Today, in particular, I thought it might be fun to write lyrics a little more directly from a child’s perspective. I think a variety of things will come out of it.

While the episode showed Mark exploring a new musical idea, it did not confirm that he would officially pursue kids’ pop music as his next career move. Still, his comments suggest that the experience gave him something new to think about as he continues developing his own musical direction.
