A popular Korean actress revealed the foods that she does and doesn’t eat once she starts working on a project.
On October 7th, T-Cast E Channel’s Heo Kyung Hwan’s Happy with Catchphrases Show featured actress Kim So Hyun, who shared various stories.

On the show, Kim So Hyun spoke candidly and openly about managing her diet during her work. She talked about everything from her usual eating habits to adjusting her food intake during shooting periods, offering a realistic perspective on how she maintains her physical condition as an actress, drawing attention.
When Heo Kyung Hwan asked, “Do you eat ramen?” Kim So Hyun surprisingly answered that she enjoys eating ramen. She said, “I actually eat it quite often. I do watch what I eat when filming dramas but still eat it at least once or twice a week,” adding with a smile, “I like bibim-myeon the most. Today, I even ate it with whelks.”
She explained that while she doesn’t completely give up ramen, there are certain foods she especially avoids when working on a project. The foods Kim So Hyun singled out were malatang and mala xiang guo, both of which are spicy dishes.
Kim So Hyun said, “The foods I try to avoid as much as possible when starting a project are malatang and mala xiang guo,” adding, “They really make me swell a lot.”
She especially noted that after eating malatang or mala xiang guo, she starts body care the next day. She added, “If I end up eating them during filming, I make sure to run the next day. I try to do whatever I can to reduce the swelling.“
