The situation was admittedly awkward.

Many groups attended the weekly music show on the October 7 episode of Show Champion and performed their recent comebacks. The five nominees for the episode were ALLDAY PROJECT‘s “CRASH,” BOYNEXTDOOR‘s “ANIMAL,” CLOSE YOUR EYES‘s “Drop That!,” CRAVITY‘s“LOUDER”, and NiziU‘s “Sour Grapes.”
NiziU took home the win, marking their first for this comeback.
While the win was celebrated, some couldn’t help but notice the reactions from the show’s MCs.
CLOSE YOUR EYES’s Minwook and Yeojun are currently MCs for Show Champion, and were also nominated for the win this week.
Fans noticed the two idols’ reactions after announcing the winners, and the video went viral, garnering over a million views. Some saw the reaction as “unprofessional,” calling the idols “sore losers.”

Others felt that a disappointed reaction was normal, and that the two idols handled the admittedly awkward situation well.
I’ve been seeing a lot of discourse around this, but THEY’RE HUMANS WITH HUMAN EMOTIONS! Imagine working so hard on something that you’re super proud of, only to have to hand that award to someone else. They’re allowed to be upset. And imo, they handled it very professionally. https://t.co/nNevXirCBw

They definitely looked upset. The situation was awkward, so obviously they might’ve felt some type of way. https://t.co/85RW9bdDhg
