They haven’t stopped.
Recently, an online community post went viral, garnering over 56,000 views, regarding a female idol who has continuously experienced cyberbullying over a remark made five years ago.
In 2021, SECRET’s Jun Hyosung was asked what a “safe Korea” looks like. She stated, “Every time it gets dark and I need to get home, I ask myself, ‘Will I be able to get back home safely today?’”

As a result, she has been receiving malicious comments on her content ever since.

- “What? The world is such a scary place, but you are doing a male idol challenge? Omg…at least you filmed it in daylight. Since the night is really dangerous for women!
- “I guess you are active because it’s daylight…”
- “Night Hyosung, who has to stay at home at night…”
- “The woman who has made so many male fans her enemy. It’s getting dark in the background, hopefully you filmed this while at home.”
Upon seeing this, netizens were shocked to learn that she still had to deal with comments like this.
존나 여자 한 명 잘 걸렸다… pic.twitter.com/UH2CAOXp7w

After seeing all the comments on the video, I found that people were mocking her for the remarks she made in a 2021 video. Men might feel safe at night because they aren’t being stalked and don’t experience the fear of unfamiliar people. It’s disgusting to see them harassing one woman all this time just because of something she said in 2021.

- “These shallow Korean men leaving stupid shit like that on all her videos…I wish we could just get rid of all of them.”
- “Criminals leaving malicious comments…they don’t know how embarrassing it is.”
- “Idiots…criticize the b*stards who kill women…”
- “They are all f*cking losers.”
