On October 1, Juice Seyeon officially kicked off her new project, Rookie Academy, unveiling the program for the first time through a YouTube livestream.
During the broadcast, Juice Seyeon introduced herself by saying, “I’m Juice Seyeon, the main MC. I’m also serving as the head of the project.” Addressing why the premiere had been postponed from its original schedule, she explained, “It was pushed back by one episode, so we ended up doing it on Thursday.”
She added, “Since it was delayed, we prepared a lot. I think we’ll really be able to have some fun today,” expressing confidence in the new content.
The debut broadcast immediately attracted significant viewer interest. At one point, more than 20,000 concurrent viewers reportedly tuned in. According to Poong Today, a website that tracks earnings from internet broadcasts, the show generated approximately 120 million won in revenue in just one day.

Juice Seyeon is currently being investigated by police alongside her boyfriend, BJ K (real name Park Jung Gyu), on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
The two were booked in July in connection with the case. K is suspected of obtaining sleeping pills and other medication through a proxy prescription arranged by an acquaintance and allegedly taking them together with Juice Seyeon in June.
The circumstances surrounding their use of psychotropic medication reportedly came to light when Juice Seyeon was taken to an emergency room.
Juice Seyeon’s side has denied some of the allegations surrounding the case. Through her legal representative last month, she stated, “I have never obtained sleeping pills through a proxy prescription or been involved in doing so.” She added, “I also want to make it clear that I have never illegally possessed or used narcotics or marijuana.”
Her legal representative further explained the circumstances, saying, “The incident arose after a conflict with her romantic partner escalated, during which she took sleeping pills containing zolpidem that were in her partner’s possession and was subsequently transported to an emergency room for treatment.”
Meanwhile, Juice Seyeon’s newly launched “Excel broadcast” is a form of livestreaming content in which multiple participants interact with viewers and perform dances and other reactions while receiving donations in real time. Participants’ rankings or positions are displayed on screen according to the amount of support they receive, with different rewards distributed based on their performance.
