BIGBANG’s G-Dragon has once again become a hot topic online after fans noticed activity from his official social media account involving IVE’s Jang Wonyoung.
Shortly after Jang Wonyoung uploaded a series of photos from a fashion brand event, netizens spotted that G-Dragon’s official account had liked the post.
The interaction quickly attracted attention because it was reportedly not the first time the BIGBANG star had liked one of Wonyoung’s posts. Fans previously noticed a similar interaction with a post the IVE member shared in August, making the latest instance the second to draw public attention.
As discussion spread online, G-Dragon’s previous comments about his social media habits also resurfaced. During an appearance on Epik High’s YouTube channel, the singer explained that there is often no particular meaning or hidden intention behind the posts he likes.
“When I’m traveling by car or have some free time, I quickly look through my feed and naturally like posts that catch my attention. As I keep scrolling through content recommended by the algorithm, I sometimes end up causing unexpected situations or making mistakes,” G-Dragon explained.
Despite his previous explanation, the latest interaction still drew criticism from some netizens, with several questioning his behavior and telling the 38-year-old singer to “act his age.”
Some comments included, “Is he trying to make a move on her?”, “Just act your age,” and “Usually people like other posts too so it doesn’t look obvious when they like someone’s post.” Another commenter claimed, “He’s trying so hard to get her.”
However, a social media like alone does not establish any personal or romantic connection between the two stars, and neither G-Dragon nor Jang Wonyoung has indicated that the interactions carry any deeper meaning.
