9. Self-Healing Flesh Cocoon
This cocoon form is one of Muzan’s most unsettling appearances. His body is completely enveloped in a thick mass of flesh, leaving only his head exposed. Muzan uses this form to isolate his body and focus on eliminating the effects of Tamayo’s aging drug.
Although this form is not primarily designed for combat, Muzan remains powerful enough to absorb Tamayo and use his biological manipulation abilities to transform his body into a heavily fortified structure capable of defending itself against incoming threats.
8. Adult Male Form
When it comes to blending into human society, this is arguably Muzan’s most successful disguise. He appears as an ordinary family man and lives among humans without drawing suspicion from the Demon Slayer Corps. However, that facade immediately begins to crack when he encounters Tanjiro in Asakusa. After recognizing Tanjiro’s Hanafuda earrings, Muzan scratches a random passerby and turns him into a demon to create chaos before escaping, revealing the brutality hidden beneath his ordinary appearance.

Even when disguised as an elegant woman with a geisha-like appearance, Muzan’s cruelty remains unchanged. It is while using this appearance that Muzan unleashes his anger on Akaza and punishes him following the Demon Slayer Corps’ victories over the Upper Rank demons.

This represents Muzan during the early period after he first became a demon. During the Heian era, Muzan traveled in search of the Blue Spider Lily while hunting humans and leaving destruction in his wake. However, his encounter with Yoriichi Tsugikuni nearly cost him his life. Muzan was forced into hiding for an extended period to recover before eventually rebuilding his demon forces to pursue his ambitions.

Muzan uses his biological manipulation abilities to wrap his body in enormous layers of flesh until he resembles a gigantic infant. The main purpose of this bizarre transformation is not to increase his offensive power, but to create a protective barrier against sunlight—the greatest threat capable of destroying him. It essentially becomes Muzan’s final defensive measure as the battle turns into a desperate struggle for survival.
3. True Demon Form
This is the horrifying form Muzan reveals when he directly battles the Hashira. After suffering the effects of multiple drugs and poisons, including Tamayo’s aging drug, his hair turns completely white while his body becomes covered in dark red muscular masses and numerous mouths appearing across his limbs. Most notably, this form still reveals scars left behind by Yoriichi’s attacks centuries earlier, demonstrating just how desperately Muzan is pushing his entire body in an attempt to survive.
2. Ultimate Combat Form
An evolution of his True Demon Form, this transformation fully demonstrates Muzan’s terrifying combat capabilities. His body sprouts sharp spikes, flesh-like tentacles and elongated arms capable of launching wide-range attacks from multiple directions.
