Recently, the K-Drama series The Scandal has been discussed online.
Based on a French novel, The Scandal is set in the Korean Joseon period and tells the story of a man and woman who push the boundaries of conventional relationships for their own pleasure. Son Ye Jin plays Lady Cho, a noblewoman, while Ji Chang Wook plays Cho Won, a wealthy aristocrat.
However, another lead actress seems to have earned some complaints from some viewers.
Nana, also known as Im Jin Ah, plays a young widow who gets pulled into the schemes. An online clip of Nana from different scenes in the series was shared on TikTok, commenting on her visuals in the show. The poster notes that Nana’s lips did not fit the time period, implying she has gotten lip filler.

Commenters expressed agreement over her visuals, saying they took them out of the story and described her as having an “iPhone face.”
