Ranking All 4 Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruits in One Piece
From Chopper’s Hito Hito no Mi to Luffy’s Nika, here is a ranking of all four known Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruits in One Piece.
In the world of One Piece, some Devil Fruits can completely change the way a character fights and survives. The Hito Hito no Mi is one of the most fascinating examples, with the four known versions possessing vastly different abilities and levels of power.
From Chopper’s standard Hito Hito no Mi and Sengoku’s gigantic Daibutsu form to Luffy’s Nika powers, which can seemingly break every limit, each Devil Fruit brings its own unique characteristics. But which one is truly the strongest? Based on the abilities shown in the story, major battles and feats depicted in both the manga and anime, here is a ranking of all four known Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruits.
4. Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Onyudo
The Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Onyudo is the most difficult Devil Fruit to rank because the series has revealed very little about what it can actually do. The Devil Fruit belongs to Onimaru, the fox who can transform into Gyukimaru in Wano. Its power allows the user to transform into a gigantic creature resembling a Buddhist monk.

The sheer size of the transformed body gives the user a clear physical advantage. However, Onimaru has never been involved in a major battle that would allow fans to accurately assess the Devil Fruit’s true combat potential.
Unlike the other three Devil Fruits, Onyudo has not been showcased through major battles or particularly notable attacks that provide a strong basis for comparison. Because its abilities remain relatively unexplored, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Onyudo takes fourth place.
3. Chopper’s Hito Hito no Mi
At first glance, Chopper’s Hito Hito no Mi may appear to be the weakest Devil Fruit on this list. Its primary effect is to give a reindeer human intelligence, allowing Chopper to speak and think like a human. However, Chopper has spent years finding ways to exploit the Devil Fruit’s other abilities, making it far more useful than it initially appears.

His special Rumble Balls became particularly important during the Enies Lobby Arc, when Monster Point demonstrated just how much devastating power Chopper could draw from his Zoan abilities. He later gained greater control over the form in Wano, even facing Queen during the battle at Onigashima.
Even so, Chopper’s Hito Hito no Mi still cannot match the raw power of Sengoku’s Mythical Zoan Daibutsu or the almost limitless freedom of Nika. As a result, it takes third place.
2. Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu
Sengoku’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu takes the concept of a Human-type Zoan to an entirely different level. This Mythical Zoan allows Sengoku to transform into a gigantic golden Buddha, granting him incredible physical strength and extremely powerful shockwave attacks.

The clearest demonstration of the Devil Fruit’s destructive power came at Marineford. During the Paramount War, Sengoku used his Daibutsu form against Blackbeard and his crew, unleashing shockwaves powerful enough to send several members of the crew flying.
This represents an entirely different level of power compared with Chopper’s Devil Fruit. On top of that, Sengoku possesses tremendous combat experience and personal strength, allowing him to make full use of Daibutsu’s abilities. For these reasons, the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu comfortably claims second place.
1. Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika
Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is clearly the strongest Devil Fruit on this list. Its true nature was revealed in Chapter 1044, when Luffy awakened its power and entered Gear 5. The battle between Luffy and Kaido demonstrated why this Devil Fruit exists on an entirely different level.

Gear 5 gives Luffy extraordinary freedom in combat. He can stretch and twist his body and fight in ways that seem almost impossible. His battles against Kaido in Wano, along with more recent developments in Egghead and Elbaf, have continued to demonstrate just how dangerous the awakened Devil Fruit can be.
The Devil Fruit was once wielded by Joy Boy during the Void Century, 800 years ago. Its overwhelming power and the threat it posed to the World Government led the Five Elders to attempt to erase its true name from history.
Unlike the other three Hito Hito no Mi Devil Fruits, Nika combines immense power, freedom, speed and extraordinary creativity in combat. These qualities make the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika the strongest of the four known versions.
