Former Secret member Song Jieun’s remarks about her newlywed life with husband Park We are once again drawing attention, sparking major concerns.
Recently, a video resurfaced online showing Song Jieun’s appearance on the YouTube channel CTS Christian TV in July, where she candidly discussed her married life with Park We.
At the time, Song Jieun said, “I had a ‘good girl’ complex since I was young, so during our relationship, I constantly tried to please my boyfriend because I wanted to be loved.”
She added, “But after getting married, always adjusting to others became exhausting, and it showed on my face.”
She continued, “Oppa (Park We) thought, ‘There’s no one else who fits as well as Jieun,’ which is why he got married. Our tastes in food, the way we look at people, how we interpret situations, hobbies—most of these didn’t actually align.”
She gave an example, saying that she didn’t like gambas, which is Park We’s favorite dish, and added, “Oppa was very surprised. But that was brief. He looked at me with sad eyes and asked, ‘Have you lived like that all this time? Always living a life to satisfy others?’ Then he said, ‘Be honest when you’re with me.’ He listened to my feelings and applied them, telling me, ‘Let’s live a life that satisfies you too.’ So now I honestly tell him everything, and we compromise to live our married life in a way that works for both of us.”
Previously, Park We had also said, “Jieun was a yes-girl during our dating days, but it turns out half of the things she didn’t like.”
Although these remarks reflected the early communication process as they came to understand each other, they have regained attention amid the recent controversy involving Park We and the KTX incident.

Amid all of this, even a fortune telling video, which says Song Jieun would have to endure a lot in this relationship, gained attention.
