A top idol has attracted attention by previewing her daily life at the dormitory where she has been living for 19 years.
At the end of the MBC variety show The Manager (also known as Omniscient Interfering View) aired on August 29th, a preview featuring Girls’ Generation (also known as SNSD) member Hyoyeon was revealed.
Hyoyeon stated, “I have been living in the Girls’ Generation dormitory for 19 years.” The dormitory shown featured a neat interior and a cozy home-like atmosphere, drawing viewers’ attention.

Later, a scene showing Hyoyeon waking up was revealed. Notably, Hyoyeon surprised viewers by sleeping on the floor instead of a bed.
She confessed, “I sleep on the floor because there is no bed,” while humorously showing that the dog was sleeping on the bed.
The aunt who has taken care of the dorm’s household chores since Hyoyeon was in high school also appeared. The aunt expressed the close bond she shares with Hyoyeon, saying, “When you stop living in the dorm, I will stop too.”

As Hyoyeon’s dormitory life drew public interest, the reason she gave earlier for not leaving the Girls’ Generation dorm was also highlighted again.
In April, Hyoyeon appeared on JTBC’s Please Take Care of My Refrigerator and revealed that she brought a refrigerator from the Girls’ Generation dorm, adding, “Even after the other members left the dorm, I have been living there alone.”
She further explained, “My family home is in Songdo, but I stay in the dorm to have a more comfortable schedule. The aunt always cooks for me, and there’s no better place than this. If I tell her I want to eat something, she finds it for me,” expressing her satisfaction.
Tiffany Young, who appeared with her on the show, also shared a special connection, saying, “The aunt has been with us since before Girls’ Generation was formed. We have spent 22 years together.”
