A decade after captivating audiences across South Korea, the stars of “Love in the Moonlight” are getting back together. Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo-bin and Kwak Dong-yeon will reunite for a special KBS2 variety program celebrating the 10th anniversary of the hit 2016 drama.
Titled “Love in the Moonlight: Rewritten Again”, the KBS2 special is scheduled to premiere on September 16, 2026. The program follows the five actors on a one-night, two-day friendship trip, giving fans an opportunity to see the beloved cast together again outside the fictional world of the historical romance drama.

“Love in the Moonlight” was a major ratings success when it aired, reaching a peak nationwide rating of 23.3% and becoming one of the most memorable Korean dramas of 2016. The reunion is particularly meaningful for fans because the five actors have rarely appeared together as a complete group since the drama ended.
One of the biggest highlights of the reunion is expected to be the return of Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung, who played Crown Prince Lee Young and Hong Ra-on, respectively. The pair became one of the most beloved on-screen couples of their generation, with fans affectionately remembering their relationship as the “Young-On couple.”
A newly released teaser gives viewers a glimpse of their reunion, with Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung appearing together once again. The teaser also features self-filmed footage and footage captured with film cameras, creating a warm, nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of a coming-of-age movie.

The teaser focuses not only on nostalgia but also on the cast’s chemistry after 10 years. Kim Yoo-jung opens the preview with an emotional humming performance, while Park Bo-gum is seen smiling playfully at the camera. Kim Yoo-jung also cheerfully introduces the group’s breakfast menu, while Jinyoung breaks into an unexpected dance without any musical accompaniment. Chae Soo-bin adds to the lighthearted atmosphere with her bright smile and signature peace sign.
Kwak Dong-yeon, meanwhile, hints at more emotional conversations during the trip with the line, “The night of ‘Love in the Moonlight’ hasn’t ended.” His comment suggests that the special will go beyond simple reunion footage and revisit memories from the drama and the decade that followed.
The new KBS special is being produced by Sijak Company, the production company behind “Youth MT,” a variety show that previously brought together cast members from several popular dramas, including “Love in the Moonlight.” That previous reunion helped demonstrate how much nostalgia remains surrounding the drama’s cast, making the 10th-anniversary special a natural next step.
With all five main stars returning, the program is expected to combine friendship, humor and nostalgia while giving fans a rare look at how the actors have changed over the past decade.
“Love in the Moonlight: Rewritten Again” will premiere on KBS2 on September 16, 2026. Ten years after “Love in the Moonlight” became a ratings phenomenon, Park Bo-gum, Kim Yoo-jung, Jinyoung, Chae Soo-bin and Kwak Dong-yeon are ready to write another chapter together—this time as themselves. For fans who still remember the drama’s unforgettable romance and the chemistry between its young cast, the reunion promises to be a nostalgic trip back to one of K-drama’s most beloved eras.
