BIGBANG’s G-Dragon is being praised after concert footage showed him preventing a camera director from potentially falling off a 2-meter-high stage during the group’s 20th anniversary concert in Goyang, South Korea.
The incident happened during BIGBANG’s XX: COSMOS world tour, which opened with three concerts Aug. 21-23 at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium. A video of the moment later spread across social media and online communities.
According to Koreaboo, G-Dragon was performing when he noticed a camera director walking backward while filming him. The director was focused on capturing the performance and was gradually approaching the edge of the stage.
G-Dragon checked behind him, appeared to warn the director and moved aside to give him room to reach a safer position. He then stayed behind the director as filming continued.
Sports Chosun provided further details, reporting that the stage was about 2 meters high and that the director was carrying a large camera while stepping backward to frame G-Dragon.
When the danger remained, G-Dragon moved behind the director and effectively switched positions with him, helping prevent the camera operator from moving farther toward the edge.

The director’s wife later added to the story. She said her husband told her that G-Dragon had “saved” him and that he could have fallen from the stage if the singer had not noticed what was happening. She also expressed gratitude, saying her family is BIGBANG fans and were relieved that her husband returned home safely.
The Korea Times placed the incident within the larger significance of BIGBANG’s Goyang return. The newspaper reported that the three-night concert run marked the group’s first concert in South Korea since December 2017 and its 20th debut anniversary.
About 40,000 fans attended the final night, while the group performed more than 30 songs over roughly two and a half hours.
It also highlighted the chemistry between G-Dragon, Taeyang and Daesung, noting that the trio maintained their timing onstage and frequently exchanged looks and smiles. The set included BIGBANG hits, solo performances and “BiiiG,” the group’s first new music in more than four years.
The Goyang concerts launched BIGBANG’s first full world tour in its current three-member lineup. The Korea Times reported that the tour is scheduled to include 33 shows in 19 cities across North America, Europe, Oceania and Asia through next year.
