On August 22, photos showing Lee Jun-young’s latest military update were posted on online communities and The Camp. In the newly released images, Lee can be seen wearing his military uniform and smiling brightly at the camera alongside fellow trainees.
The detail that has drawn the most attention is the “Company Commander” armband on Lee Jun-young’s left arm. He has been appointed as a company commander trainee at the training center. In this role, he serves as a representative of the trainees, helping lead the entire company and relay instructions from military officers to his fellow trainees.

Another photo taken with his barracks mates was also released. Lee Jun-young can be seen posing with his fellow trainees while making an “L” gesture. His healthy and cheerful appearance during his military service has attracted considerable attention from fans.
Lee Jun-young began his mandatory military service as an active-duty Army soldier on July 21. About a month before his enlistment, he shared a handwritten letter reflecting on the upcoming experience. “Until I knew my enlistment date, I thought, ‘What’s the big deal? I’m just going to the military!’ But once I actually received the date, I found myself thinking about many things for the first time in a while,” he wrote.
Lee Jun-young continued, “Until the day I greet you all again, I sincerely hope that everyone stays healthy and spends happy and meaningful time in their respective places. Thank you always for caring about me and supporting me.”

After Lee Jun-young enlisted, a comment posted on the YouTube channel Nothing Much Prepared also attracted attention. One viewer wrote, “My older brother is at the same training center, and he said he ran into Lee Jun-young many times. He said Lee was unbelievably kind, even more than he could have imagined.”
The commenter added, “He said Lee Jun-young has exactly the same good personality that we see in his videos. Apparently, every time they met, he would walk around with a big, cheerful smile. I hope Lee Jun-young stays safe and healthy throughout his military service.”
Meanwhile, Lee Jun-young will appear in tvN’s upcoming Saturday-Sunday drama Four Hands, Two Sonatas, which premieres on August 29. The series follows the friendship, love, competition and growth of young people who meet at an arts high school attended by musical prodigies. For Lee Jun-young, Four Hands, Two Sonatas is his final project completed before enlistment.
