On August 19, Fable Company released a detailed statement addressing allegations made by a woman identified as A, who had publicly shared a legal notice concerning actor Hong Min-gi on social media.
The agency said that the allegations contain multiple claims that differ from the facts it has established and announced that it plans to take legal action if necessary.

Fable Company explained that Hong Min-gi had initially chosen not to respond publicly because the dispute originated from a private relationship. According to the agency, the actor had hoped that his relationship with A would be resolved peacefully and therefore deliberately refrained from taking public or legal action for as long as possible.
However, after A shared the legal notice she had sent to Hong Min-gi and related posts on social media on August 19, the agency decided to release its own account. The company stated that the posts contained “multiple claims that differ from the facts” it had confirmed and that the allegations had quickly spread through media outlets and online communities. The agency said it was providing its version of events to prevent further misunderstandings and potential damage to the actor.
According to Fable Company, Hong Min-gi and A began dating around April 2026. The agency claimed that during their relationship, Hong Min-gi discovered that A had continued communicating with a former boyfriend.

According to the company’s statement, A allegedly acknowledged meeting another person during the relationship and apologized to Hong Min-gi through letters and private messages. The agency said Hong Min-gi subsequently decided that the trust between them could not be restored and repeatedly made it clear that he did not want to continue the relationship. The company nevertheless claims that A continued asking to reconcile and repeatedly contacted the actor.
More seriously, the agency alleged that A frequently went to Hong Min-gi’s home and even visited his family’s residence, despite the actor’s wishes. Fable Company further claimed that A visited Hong Min-gi’s home at around 1 a.m. on August 19 and continued ringing the doorbell and knocking on the door until approximately 4 a.m. The agency said CCTV footage allegedly showed A placing a sticker over the camera at the entrance before kicking the actor’s front door.
These claims have not been independently established in the material provided, and both sides’ allegations remain disputed.

Fable Company additionally rejected allegations concerning Hong Min-gi’s relationship with his fans and his treatment of his pet. The agency claimed that A had pressured the actor by threatening to make what it described as false allegations public, allegedly taking advantage of the importance of his public image and reputation.
According to the company’s statement, A allegedly made remarks suggesting that Hong Min-gi had more to lose because of his public profile. The agency further claimed that, after Hong Min-gi refused to reconcile, A sent him a legal notice containing what it described as false allegations. It said A subsequently published the legal notice and additional accusations on social media, including claims of pet abuse and misleading fans, which the agency categorically denied. Fable Company described these claims as false and said they had seriously damaged Hong Min-gi’s reputation.
Earlier on August 19, A shared a legal notice concerning alleged dating violence through her social media account. According to the claims reported in the original article, A alleged that Hong Min-gi had engaged in physical contact such as hitting and pushing her shoulder, as well as allegedly throwing and breaking a soju bottle in what she characterized as threatening behavior.

She also reportedly alleged that Hong Min-gi suspected her of cheating, called her approximately 40 times and made threatening remarks. Additional allegations reportedly included an accusation that he injured her while riding an electric kickboard under the influence of alcohol. A also allegedly claimed that Hong Min-gi spoke negatively about his fans and mistreated his pet.
Hong Min-gi’s agency has denied these allegations. Because the accusations and the agency’s response represent conflicting accounts, the claims should be treated as allegations rather than established facts unless independently verified through legal proceedings or other reliable evidence.
Fable Company said it intends to rely on objective evidence and proper legal procedures to establish the facts. The agency also warned that it plans to pursue legal measures over what it described as repeated unwanted contact and approaches toward Hong Min-gi. It said it is considering action under laws relating to stalking, while also considering civil and criminal measures, including defamation claims, over the alleged publication and distribution of false information.

The company concluded by asking the public to refrain from making speculation about unverified claims or reproducing information that has not been established as factual.
For now, the controversy remains a dispute between two conflicting accounts, with Hong Min-gi’s agency strongly rejecting the allegations and indicating that the matter could move into formal legal proceedings.
