iKON member Koo Jun-hoe has given fans a final update before beginning his military service, revealing his newly shaved head just two days before his August 11 enlistment.
On August 9, he posted a photo of himself giving a military salute and shared a short but meaningful message: “I’ll be back safely.”
In the photo, Koo Jun-hoe looked calm as he faced the camera with his short haircut. His simple greeting came without a long explanation, but it clearly marked the start of his preparations to leave for military training.
Koo Jun-hoe is scheduled to enter the recruit training center on August 11 and begin his service as an active-duty soldier, TheChosun reported. His agency, 143 Entertainment, previously announced the enlistment date and asked fans not to gather at the training center.
The agency explained that many military personnel and their families will also be present on the day. Because of this, there will be no separate public event for Koo Jun-hoe’s enlistment. The agency asked fans to continue supporting him while he completes his military duty and returns safely.
Koo Jun-hoe Bids Fans Farewell
According to AllKpop, his discharge is scheduled for February 10, 2028. The shaved-head photo gives fans a final glimpse of Koo Jun-hoe before he steps away from his entertainment activities for military service.
Instead of a large farewell event, he chose to share the moment directly with fans through social media.
Koo Jun-hoe has been part of iKON since the group debuted in 2015. During his career with the group, he took part in several of iKON’s best-known songs, including “Love Scenario,” “Killing Me,” and “RHYTHM TA.”
He has also built a career outside group activities. Along with showing his vocal skills as a solo artist, Koo Jun-hoe moved into acting and appeared in dramas such as “Bo-ra! Deborah,” “Twinkling Watermelon,” and “No Mercy.”
As August 11 approaches, Koo Jun-hoe is preparing to begin his active-duty service. Fans will now have to wait until February 2028 for his scheduled return.
