Recently, a newly debuted Japanese idol was “exposed” for having a child.
Yura, a member of the Japanese girl group Koiro Signal, shared an update on her X account celebrating her debut. Shortly after, it was quoted by a notorious account with photos alleged to be of Yura with a child, a man and another woman.

A notice from her company was released shortly after, which confirmed that she had a child and gave their position. The company showed full support of the idol, stating that it was aware of Yura being a mother since before debut, and that it did not matter.
Along with this, many showed support for Yura, including internationally after the post went viral.

Some people are saying she deceived them, but does having a child mean you have to publicly announce it? It’s personal information, so there’s no reason she needs to disclose it. And isn’t it wrong to say that having a child means you have to give up on your dreams?
There are people saying, ‘You should have become an idol before having a child,’ but everyone has different timing for when they decide they want to pursue something or when they feel they’re capable of doing it. They have no right to interfere or tell her otherwise.
