Singer John Park has revealed how he successfully entered Berghain, the world-famous techno club in Berlin, Germany, known for its extremely strict entrance rules.
John Park shared his experience during his recent appearance on the YouTube show “Psick Show,” where he talked about the secret behind passing the club’s difficult door policy. His story gained attention as he explained that the key was not wearing flashy outfits but looking like someone who truly belonged to the techno scene.
Berghain is considered one of the hardest clubs in the world to enter. Many visitors are rejected by the guards, even after waiting in long lines.
During the episode, MC Kim Min Soo also shared that he once tried to enter the club wearing a bold leather outfit but was turned away at the entrance, AllKPop reported.
John Park explained that Kim Min Soo’s outfit may have made him look too much like a tourist. He said his own approach was much simpler.
“I dressed like someone obsessed with techno music,” John Park explained. He added that people should look like they are ready to enjoy the music and dance rather than trying too hard to impress the door staff.
John Park Reveals Berghain Guests Wear
The singer also surprised viewers by describing what happens inside the famous club. He explained that Berghain has a very different atmosphere compared to ordinary nightclubs, where people often focus on fashion and appearance.
John Park said the club has lockers where guests leave their clothes, and many people party wearing very little clothing. Some guests even wear only underwear or leather straps while dancing. He explained that nobody inside judges what others are wearing because everyone is focused on the music and the experience.
According to SportsKhan, due to the intense heat inside the club, John Park said he eventually ended up wearing only a T-shirt and shorts.
The singer also brought laughter to the show by acting like a Berghain security guard and judging whether the hosts’ outfits would allow them to enter. He said Jung Jae Hyung might have a chance if he avoided wearing jeans. However, he quickly rejected Kim Min Soo, saying his style looked too much like someone trying hard to get inside the club.
John Park also joked that Kim Min Soo needed to remove accessories like sunglasses, watches, and bracelets. When Lee Yong Joo appeared wearing a flashy leopard-print shirt and jeans, John Park continued his role as the strict guard and jokingly told him, “Today is not your day.”
