Former NewJeans member Danielle shared a heartfelt message with fans on the group’s fourth debut anniversary, the same day NewJeans released new anniversary content featuring a four-member lineup.
On July 22, Danielle posted photos on her personal social media account showing herself in a casual outfit near a lake and under the night sky. Along with the pictures, she shared a message of hope and thanked fans for their continued support.
“Life gets cloudy sometimes, but the light always finds its way back in. Until then, keep shining,” Danielle wrote.
Her short message quickly caught fans’ attention, especially because it came on the same day that NewJeans introduced new official content without her participation. Many fans viewed Danielle’s words as a meaningful message during a difficult period for the group and its members.
Meanwhile, NewJeans celebrated its fourth anniversary by releasing a special video titled “2026 Summer of NewJeans” on YouTube, AllKPop reported.
The 59-second film featured Minji, Hyein, Hanni, and Haerin, showing the four members appearing one by one on a quiet country road during a summer night. In the video, the members eventually came together, held hands, and greeted viewers. The scene ended with the four standing together while watching a mysterious white figure moving through a grassy field.
Fans React to NewJeans’ Four-Member Anniversary
Along with the group video, individual videos featuring each of the four members were also released.
New images and anniversary-themed content were shared through the group’s official social media accounts, including items inspired by their fandom name Bunnies and animated rabbit logo content.
The anniversary release marked NewJeans’ first official group content since their performance at ComplexCon Hong Kong in March last year. The return of the members on screen drew strong reactions from fans who had been waiting to see the group again.
The appearance of Minji in the anniversary content also received attention, as her future participation in group activities had previously been uncertain. However, ADOR remained careful about confirming future plans, saying that details about upcoming activities would be announced after discussions are completed.
Fans celebrated seeing NewJeans again but also expressed sadness over Danielle’s absence from the four-member video. Many shared messages saying they missed her and hoped to see all members together again in the future.
